A Brave Girl Stopped Her Child Marriage

Malda, March 12, 2026: A sixteen-year-old girl bravely stopped her untimely marriage yesterday. The girl was a student of Class 10. Her parents arranged her marriage with a thirty-year-old man against her wish. The girl strongly opposed the decision. She wanted to continue her higher studies. Her parents refused her request.

Finally, the girl contacted her school headmaster for help. The headmaster immediately informed the local police and the administration. Government officials visited the house at once. They explained the child marriage law to the parents. The parents accepted their mistake and cancelled the wedding. The local administration promised full financial help for the girl's future education. The villagers praised the girl for her courage.

মালদা,  মার্চ ১২,২০২৬: গতকাল এক ষোল বছর বয়সী স্কুলছাত্রী সাহস দেখিয়ে নিজের অসময়ের বিয়ে বন্ধ করল। মেয়েটি দশম শ্রেণীর ছাত্রী ছিল। তার অভিভাবকেরা তার ইচ্ছার বিরুদ্ধে এক ত্রিশ বছর বয়সী যুবকের সঙ্গে তার বিয়ের ঠিক করেছিলেন। মেয়েটি এই সিদ্ধান্তের তীব্র বিরোধিতা করেছিল। সে তার পড়াশোনা চালিয়ে যেতে চেয়েছিল। কিন্তু তার বাবা-মা তার কথায় কান দেননি।
