Instructions for Students: Change the following 35 sentences from Active to Passive voice in your exercise notebooks. Pay close attention to the tense rules for each section!

1. Simple Present Tense

  1. He reads a book.
  2. She sings a beautiful song.

2. Present Continuous Tense

  1. I am writing a letter.
  2. She is drawing a picture.

3. Present Perfect Tense

  1. I have finished the work.
  2. She has painted the entire wall.
  3. We have won the final match.

  5. Have you seen the Taj Mahal?
  6. Someone has stolen my favorite pen.

4. Simple Past Tense

  1. He bought a new car yesterday.
  2. She wrote a beautiful poem.
  3. The police caught the cunning thief.
  4. Did you complete the assigned task?
  5. Columbus discovered America in 1492.
  6. Who broke this glass?

5. Past Continuous Tense

  1. I was reading an interesting novel.
  2. She was singing a classical song.
  3. The boys were playing cricket in the field.
  4. The gardener was watering the plants.
  5. Were they helping you during the exam?
  6. What was he doing inside the room?

6. Past Perfect Tense

  1. I had completed the assignment before the deadline.
  2. She had cooked the food before the guests arrived.
  3. They had already watched the movie.
  4. The doctor had examined the patient thoroughly.
  5. Had he finished the report before the meeting?
