(All the students of our school are hereby notified that our Headmistress has decided to extend a helping hand to the poor victims of the devastating storm ‘Aila’ which struck West Bengal in May 2009). The cyclone has caused large-scale destruction (and untold misery) to thousands of families. To help them to overcome their suffering, our school has decided to raise a relief fund.
All students are requested to contribute generously in cash or in kind. Useful items like clothes, medicines, food packets, and blankets may also be donated. Class monitors are instructed to collect the donations from the willing students on or before …(date)… and submit them to the undersigned. The collected funds and materials will be sent to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the distressed people.

One can give such essential things like garment, food, pan, pot, clothes etc without paying cash.
