A Short Trip to a Place

During the last winter vacation, I went on a short trip to Bishnupur with my parents and a few close friends. We started our journey on a pleasant morning in December by bus. The road was smooth, and the beautiful green fields on both sides made the journey delightful. When we reached Bishnupur, we first visited the famous terracotta temples. The red brick walls, decorated with fine carvings of gods, animals, and flowers, left me spellbound. After that, we went to see the historic Rasmancha and other old monuments which reminded us of Bengal’s rich cultural heritage. We also enjoyed tasting some local sweets like “Mihidana” and “Sitabhog,” which are very popular there. Before returning, we bought some clay toys and souvenirs. The trip was short but extremely enjoyable. It gave me both knowledge and pleasure. Truly, it was an unforgettable experience in my life.
