Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India)
Atmanirbhar Bharat means Self-Reliant India. It is a vision given by our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in May 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The main aim of this mission is to make India strong, independent, and capable of producing most of the things we need in our own country. Earlier, India used to depend on other nations for many products, but now the idea is to reduce this dependence and encourage local production.
Atmanirbhar Bharat focuses on five important pillars: economy, infrastructure, technology, demography, and demand. If India becomes self-reliant, then new industries will grow, small businesses will get more opportunities, and people will find more employment. It also promotes the slogan “Vocal for Local”, which means we should buy and support Indian goods instead of foreign items. This will not only strengthen our economy but also build national pride.
Self-reliance does not mean cutting all ties with the world. It means being strong enough to stand on our own feet and also contribute to the global market. Through Atmanirbhar Bharat, India dreams of becoming a modern, developed, and confident nation. If every citizen supports this mission, India will surely become a self-reliant country and achieve great progress in the future.
