Road Accident: 5 Dead

Uliara, Bishnupur, April 18, 2026: A terrible bus accident took place at Uliara, Bishnupur, on 17.04.2026. It occurred at 4 p.m. A private bus was coming from Patrasayer at high speed. At that time, a truck was coming from the opposite direction at high speed. The driver of the truck lost control, and it collided with the bus. Hearing a loud sound, local people rushed to the spot. They started a rescue operation and informed the police.

The police came to the spot quickly and started rescue work. Five people died on the spot. 20 people were injured. The injured were taken to the local hospital with the help of locals.They were released after first aid as their injuries were not serious.

The driver of the truck escaped from the spot, but the police later arrested him. People blocked the road to stage their protest. The traffic system was disrupted for two hours. However, the police cleared the mob quickly, and normalcy was restored. The MLA visited the spot and expressed his grief. He assured the people of all possible help.
