The Greedy Dog
Once, a dog found a large, juicy piece of meat near a market. He was very happy and wanted to eat it all by himself in a quiet place. So, he held the piece of meat tightly in his mouth and ran towards the woods.
On his way, he had to cross a narrow bridge over a clear stream. As he was crossing, he looked down into the water. He saw his own reflection in the clear water, but the foolish dog thought it was another dog standing there with a similar piece of meat.
Seeing this, the dog became very greedy. He wanted to snatch that piece of meat too. Without thinking, he opened his mouth to bark at the other dog. As soon as he opened his mouth, his own piece of meat fell into the stream and was swept away. The greedy dog was left with nothing.
