Section A – Narration Change



1. He said, “I have finished my homework.”



2. The teacher said to me, “Why were you late today?”



3. The mother said to the child, “Don’t play in the rain.”

5. I told my friend that I would meet him the next day. (Change into Direct Speech)



Section B – Voice Change



1. They are watching a movie.



2. The letter was written by Rina.



3. Do you know him?



4. She has made a beautiful cake.



5. Let them finish the work. (Change into Active Voice)





Section C – Degree Change


1. He is the most intelligent boy in the class. (Superlative → Comparative)



2. Very few flowers are as beautiful as the rose. (Positive → Superlative)



3. This river is longer than that one. (Comparative → Positive)



4. No other bird is as swift as the eagle. (Positive → Superlative)



5. Gold is more precious than silver. (Comparative → Positive)

➡️ The teacher asked me why I had been late that day.

➡️ The mother advised the child not to play in the rain.






4. They said, “We are going to Delhi tomorrow.”


➡️ They said that they were going to Delhi the next day.






5. I told my friend that I would meet him the next day. (Direct Speech)


➡️ I said to my friend, “I will meet you tomorrow.”








Section B – Voice Change




1. They are watching a movie.


➡️ A movie is being watched by them.






2. The letter was written by Rina.


➡️ Rina wrote the letter.






3. Do you know him?


➡️ Is he known to you?






4. She has made a beautiful cake.


➡️ A beautiful cake has been made by her.






5. Let them finish the work. (Active Voice)


 


➡️Let the work be finished by them








Section C – Degree Change




1. He is the most intelligent boy in the class. (Superlative → Comparative)


➡️ He is more intelligent than any other boy in the class.






2. Very few flowers are as beautiful as the rose. (Positive → Superlative)


➡️ The rose is one of the most beautiful flowers.






3. This river is longer than that one. (Comparative → Positive)


➡️ That river is not as long as this one.






4. No other bird is as swift as the eagle. (Positive → Superlative)


➡️ The eagle is the swiftest bird 




(of all birds.)






5. Gold is more precious than silver. (Comparative → Positive)


➡️ Silver is not as precious as gold.
