👉 By whom was the tiger killed?



5. The work will be finished by tomorrow. (Change into Active)

👉 They will finish the work by tomorrow.



Section B: Narration Change


6. He said, “I am going to school.”

👉 He said that he was going to school.



7. She said that she had completed the task. (Change into Direct Speech)

👉 She said, “I have completed the task.”



8. The teacher said to the students, “Do not make noise.”

👉 The teacher forbade the students  to make noise.



9. I said to him, “When will you come?”

👉 I asked him when he would come.



10. He asked me if I had seen his pen. (Change into Direct Speech)

👉 He said to me, “Have you seen my pen?”





Section C: Degree Change


11. Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world. (Superlative → Comparative)

👉 Mount Everest is higher than any other mountain in the world.



12. He is better than any other player in the team. (Comparative → Superlative)

👉 He is the best player in the team.



13. No other flower is as beautiful as the rose. (Positive → Comparative)

👉 The rose is more beautiful than any other flower.



14. Iron is stronger than copper. (Comparative → Positive)

👉 Copper is not so strong as iron.



15. Very few poets are as great as Tagore. (Positive → Superlative)

👉 Tagore is one of the greatest poets.





Section D: Mixed Exercise


16. Someone has stolen my book. (Change the voice)

👉 My book has been stolen.



17. The boy said that he was feeling cold. (Change into Direct Speech)

👉 The boy said, “I am feeling cold.”



18. This is one of the most important questions. (Superlative → Positive)

👉 Very few questions are as important as this.



19. He said, “Let us go for a walk.” (Change the narration)

👉 He proposed that they should go for a walk.
