ABC High School, Kolkata, 7th July, 2026: A memorable function was organized in our ABC High School at the Seminar hall with solemnity on 6th July at 11 A.M. to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee. The function included an informative programme as well as speeches by dignified guests. The whole school building was decorated highly. In front of the stage, a portrait of Dr. Mookerjee was placed.
Mr.Ram Roy, the local BDO, inaugurated the function by offering flowers to the great leader. At the same time, an opening patriotic song was sung by a student of class XI. There were several speeches and presentations by students and teachers discussing his remarkable life. Among them, a speech by respected teacher Mr. Tapas Dalui detailing his role as an Indian barrister, educationalist, and politician won the heart of the audience. The senior students also presented a short act highlighting his dedicated tenure as the Finance Minister in the cabinet of undivided Bengal from 1941 to 1942.
Mr. Raghunath De, the headmaster of the school, delivered his speech. He laid emphasis on Dr. Mookerjee's vast contributions to the nation's education and politics. The programme ended with the speech of Mr. De. The event successfully made the students feel that the ideals and legacy of Dr. Mookerjee are still very much alive and relevant today.

এবিসি হাই স্কুল, কলকাতা, ৭ই জুলাই: ডঃ শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখোপাধ্যায়ের জন্মবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষে গত ৬ই জুলাই সকাল ১১টায় আমাদের এবিসি হাই স্কুলের সেমিনার হলে অত্যন্ত ভাবগাম্ভীর্যের সাথে একটি স্মরণীয় অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল। অনুষ্ঠানে তথ্যমূলক কর্মসূচির পাশাপাশি গণ্যমান্য অতিথিদের ভাষণও অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিল। সমগ্র বিদ্যালয় ভবনটি সুন্দরভাবে সজ্জিত করা হয়েছিল। মঞ্চের সামনে ডঃ মুখোপাধ্যায়ের একটি প্রতিকৃতি স্থাপন করা হয়েছিল।
স্থানীয় বিডিও শ্রী রাম রায় এই মহান নেতার প্রতি পুষ্পার্ঘ্য অর্পণের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের উদ্বোধন করেন। একই সাথে একাদশ শ্রেণীর এক শিক্ষার্থী একটি উদ্বোধনী দেশাত্মবোধক গান পরিবেশন করে। তাঁর বর্ণাঢ্য জীবন নিয়ে ছাত্র ও শিক্ষকদের বেশ কিছু বক্তৃতা ও উপস্থাপনা ছিল। এর মধ্যে, একজন ভারতীয় ব্যারিস্টার, শিক্ষাবিদ এবং রাজনীতিবিদ হিসেবে তাঁর ভূমিকার বিশদ বিবরণ দিয়ে শ্রদ্ধেয় শিক্ষক শ্রী তাপস দলুইয়ের দেওয়া একটি ভাষণ উপস্থিত সকলের মন জয় করে নেয়। ১৯৪১ থেকে ১৯৪২ সাল পর্যন্ত অবিভক্ত বাংলার মন্ত্রিসভায় অর্থমন্ত্রী হিসেবে তাঁর একনিষ্ঠ কার্যকালকে তুলে ধরে উঁচু শ্রেণীর ছাত্রছাত্রীরা একটি ছোট্ট নাটিকাও পরিবেশন করে।
বিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক শ্রী রঘুনাথ দে তাঁর বক্তব্য রাখেন। তিনি দেশের শিক্ষা ও রাজনীতিতে ডঃ মুখোপাধ্যায়ের বিশাল অবদানের ওপর জোর দেন। শ্রী দে-র বক্তব্যের মধ্য দিয়ে অনুষ্ঠানের সমাপ্তি ঘটে। এই অনুষ্ঠানটি সফলভাবে ছাত্রছাত্রীদের অনুভব করিয়েছে যে ডঃ মুখোপাধ্যায়ের আদর্শ এবং ঐতিহ্য আজও অত্যন্ত জীবন্ত ও প্রাসঙ্গিক।
