ধূপের ধোঁয়া দিতে গিয়ে বিপত্তি: গোয়ালঘরে ভয়াবহ অগ্নিকাণ্ডে ভস্মীভূত সব

নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদন: একটি ছোট অসতর্কতা থেকে ঘটে গেল বড়সড় বিপর্যয়। ধূপের ধোঁয়া দিয়ে মশা তাড়াতে গিয়ে ভয়াবহ অগ্নিকাণ্ডের কবলে পড়ল একটি বসতবাড়ির গোয়ালঘর। আগুনের লেলিহান শিখায় মুহূর্তের মধ্যে ভস্মীভূত হয়ে যায় খড়ের গাদা ও চাষের সরঞ্জাম।

স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, একটি ছোট ছেলে ডিমের পেটি এবং ধূপ নিয়ে গোয়ালঘরে গিয়েছিল ধোঁয়া দিতে। ডিমের পেটির ভেতরে থাকা দাহ্য পদার্থে ধূপের আগুন লেগে যাওয়ায় মুহূর্তের মধ্যে বিপত্তি ঘটে। ছোট সেই আগুন দ্রুত ছড়িয়ে পড়ে গোয়ালঘরে মজুত থাকা তিল খেচকি, কাঠ, ছানি এবং খড়কুটোর ওপর।

খড় এবং কাঠের উপস্থিতির কারণে আগুন দ্রুত বিভৎস রূপ ধারণ করে। সেই সময় গোয়ালঘরের ভেতরে দুটি গোরু বাঁধা ছিল, যা পরিস্থিতিকে আরও আতঙ্কিত করে তোলে। আগুনের তীব্রতা এতটাই বেশি ছিল যে ধোঁয়ায় চারপাশ অন্ধকার হয়ে যায়।

গ্রামবাসীরা প্রথমে নিজেদের উদ্যোগে তিন-চারটি পাম্প মেশিন চালিয়ে আগুন নেভানোর আপ্রাণ চেষ্টা করেন। খবর দেওয়া হয় দমকল বাহিনীকে। শেষমেশ দমকলের একটি ইঞ্জিন ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে বেশ কিছুক্ষণের চেষ্টায় আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে।

সতর্কবার্তা: শুকনো খড় বা দাহ্য বস্তু আছে এমন স্থানে আগুন বা ধূপ ব্যবহারের সময় অত্যন্ত সতর্ক থাকা প্রয়োজন। ছোটদের হাতে আগুন না দেওয়াই শ্রেয়।

The Origin of the Incident

According to local sources, a young boy went into the cowshed to create smoke using an egg carton and incense sticks. The incense ignited the flammable materials inside the egg carton, causing an immediate mishap. The small flame quickly spread to the sesame stalks (til khechki), wood, cattle feed, and dry straw stored in the shed.

Terrifying Flames and Panic

Due to the presence of straw and wood, the fire soon took a horrific form. At that time, two cows were tied inside the shed, making the situation even more critical and panicky. The intensity of the fire was so high that the entire area was engulfed in thick black smoke.

Fire Brigade's Prompt Action

Villagers initially tried their best to extinguish the fire by running three to four water pump machines. The fire brigade was then notified. Finally, one engine of the fire department arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control after considerable effort.

Warning: Extreme caution is required when using fire or incense sticks near dry straw or flammable materials. It is advisable not to let children handle fire.
