This holy season, fit to fast and pray,   

এই পবিত্র ঋতু, যা উপবাস ও প্রার্থনার জন্য উপযুক্ত, 

 

 Men to devotion ought to be inclin'd:   

মানুষের উচিত এসময়ে ভক্তি-ভাবাপন্ন হওয়া। 

 

 Therefore I likewise on so holy day,   

তাই আমিও এই পবিত্র দিনে, 

 

 For my sweet saint some service fit will find.   

আমার প্রিয় সাধ্বীর জন্য কিছু উপযুক্ত সেবা খুঁজে বের করব। 

 

 

 Her temple fair is built within my mind,   

তার সুন্দর মন্দির আমার মনে গড়ে উঠেছে, 

 

 In which her glorious image placed is,   

যার ভেতরে তার মহিমান্বিত মূর্তি স্থাপিত হয়েছে, 

 

 On which my thoughts do day and night attend,   

যার প্রতি আমার চিন্তাগুলো দিনরাত খেয়াল রাখে, 

 

 Like sacred priests that never think amiss.

 Amongst thy dearest relics to be kept.
