My Favourite Season
My favourite season is winter. It begins in mid-November and lasts until February. During this time, the weather remains cool, calm, and pleasant. Beautiful flowers like marigolds, roses, and dahlias bloom all around in colourful gardens. The markets are filled with delicious fresh fruits such as juicy oranges, apples, and sweet guavas. We also get plenty of healthy green vegetables like carrots, peas, spinach, and cauliflower. Many joyful festivals take place during winter, including Christmas, New Year, and Makar Sankranti. People love going on outdoor picnics and basking in the warm morning sunshine. I enjoy this season the most because it is comfortable and energising. Wearing cosy woollen clothes and enjoying hot drinks makes winter truly delightful for me.
Winter in West Bengal
My favourite season is winter in West Bengal. It lasts from December to February and brings pleasant, chilly weather. Gardens look colourful with blooming flowers like marigolds, dahlias, and chrysanthemums. The local markets are crowded with fresh vegetables like cauliflower, green peas, carrots, and spinach. Sweet, juicy oranges and guavas are widely available during these months.Winter in Bengal is a time of great celebration. People enjoy Christmas, New Year, and the famous Kolkata Book Fair. The festival of Poush Sankranti brings delicious handmade pithe-puli and sweet nolen gur. Families often go out for sunny picnics and day trips. I love this season because the cool weather is comfortable and Bengal feels lively with sweet treats and warm woollens.
