The programme started at 8:30 a.m. and continued till 11:30 a.m. Mr. S.K. Das (B.D.O) was the Chief Guest. On this occasion, the whole campus was decorated nicely with tricolor flags and balloons.
The Headmaster inaugurated the programme by hoisting the national flag. Students sang the National Anthem and an opening song written by Rabindranath Tagore.
The Chief Guest delivered a long speech about the importance of this day and the sacrifice of our freedom fighters. Students performed a short drama on patriotism. Finally, sweets were distributed among the students. The programme came to an end with a Vote of Thanks by the senior teacher.
